Today, we are the largest listed investment company in the GCC."- Adnan Al-Musallam, Chairman & MD (2007) Mr. Al-musallam is the key founder and driving force behind the TID spectacular growth, being the company's managing director since establishment in 1994. He is the third chairman of TID, a post he has been holding since 2003. Before founding TID, Mr. Almusallam held several managerial and top positions in Kuwait Finance House (KFH) and other leading companies specialized in the automobile industry and general trading, and economic studies during 1979-1993.

After TID establishment, he headed the boards of diversified subsidiaries and associates of the company. He was appointed as the company's vice chairman and managing director in 2001. In 2007, CEO Middle East named Mr. Almusallam as one of the "GCC Top 100 Executives", and since he began serving as chairman, TID was named "Best Investment Company in Middle East" by World Finance and "Best Islamic Finance Company" by Banker Middle East in the same year, as well as winning several international awards including "Gulf Economic Award" received in 2006 from former German chancellor Mr. Gerhard Schroeder on behalf of Datamatix Group a (non profit organization) and the Middle East Excellence Awards Institute. Born and raised in Kuwait, Mr. Al-musallam earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from North Texas State University in 1976 at the age of 26, after completing his undergraduate studies on financial accounting at Kuwait University.
